Lydia Viscardi is a representational mixed media artist working in paintings drawing, collage, and assemblage sculpture. She was the 2024 Artist-in-Residence at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, NYC which culminated in a solo show, and the recipient of the 2023 Connecticut Office of the Arts Artist Fellowship. Other recent solo exhibitions include Rick Wester Fine Art, NYC, Real Art Ways, CT and the Five Points Gallery, CT, a three-person show at AHA Fine Art, NYC and a two-person show at Camp Gallery, CT. Group exhibition venues include galleries at Murray State University in Kentucky, Ramapo College of NJ, Eastern CT State University, Norwalk Art Space, CT and the Camp Gallery, FL. Her work was featured in the Fiera Clandestina Art Fair, FL with the Camp Gallery. Upcoming group exhibitions include the Galleries at University of MA at Amherst, MA.
Viscardi’s work is in the collections of The Housatonic Museum of Art, CT, Eastern CT State University, The Copelouzos Art Museum in Athens, Greece, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, NYC and many private collections in the US and the UK.
Viscardi’s diverse employment history has included advertising, editorial and book illustration, interior design, store planning/display, scenic art (sculpting and painting for theater, film and television), decorative painting, museum education, curator, art collections manager, gallery director, and teaching most recently as Professor of Studio Art at Quinnipiac University and Housatonic Community College, CT.
